I'm very concerned about violence against women issue we hear about every days. Since i love making wallpaper in Photoshop and i love Anime's arts, i've been constructive and made a wallpaper that denunciate the matter.

I named it "Don't keep it for yourself" because too many women who were victims of violence keep it secret. Nothing is done about their agressor while the victims endure the physical and psychological pain every day. It is said that only 5% of the victims denunciate their agressor and it is too less in my opinion.

Since im not that good at drawing i used the image of Tatiana (Last Exile)
And i also used un-copyrighted images of a baseball bat and a hand found on the net. The rest was made by me in Photoshop.

The image may be a bit dark on older monitors. I can post a brighter version of it.

I'm against violence without a cause and all forms of women beating. Doesn't mean I'm against the death sentence or anything like that however (I belive in Eye for an Eye). The wallpaper is kinda.. Creepy. Dunno if my stomach would apprecaite it being on my desktop, but I think it would defently make a good poster.

And I know this is flamebait guys, but please, keep it simple and on topic?

Your artwork moved me. Thank you for caring about this subject.

As for the artistic elements...
It is pretty dark in color on my monitor here at work, and I think you could also do away with some of the bloodstains unless you want to have her lying there comatose... her posture does not signify the type of beating that the amount of blood and the baseball bat have done.

The handprints on the door are fairly low in height--need to reposition those for accuracy. She also has blood on her hands which could be good symbolically, or could leave the vignette open to misinterpretation. Tough call but I'd err on the side of interpretation by the masses, since you're trying to share a message.

For a really good critique which may help you develop yourself even more as an artist, post it on deviantart.com. That community is just awesome and supportive and will help you really stretch yourself.

i am against violence against women, but isnt there just as much against men and children too? in two of my relationships i have been smacked around, and i havent done anything back, and i certainly wouldnt go around telling people that know me, that is just embarrassing

so i dont really think its all women getting that
